About me:
As a child I was full of curiosity, I was filled with an awe for the world around me. I loved to be outdoors while growing up in Oregon and Northern California. My favorite sport was soccer; I loved the challenge and competition. I also loved gymnastics, while doing flips on the trampoline I would imagine myself as an Olympic finalist. Clearly I’ve always had a huge imagination!
While I grew over the years I realized that I enjoyed interacting with people, learning about their lives and hearing about their difficulties. I could always empathize easily with others.
I am the type to create goals and remain committed until the end. When I determined I wanted to be a Registered Nurse I took the steps necessary to ensure that I would become one. I knew that it would take hard work and dedication. I have never stopped continuing on the path to become a Registered Nurse. I applied to five schools over a two and a half year span -- I was accepted to Biola University’s nursing program in 2014.
My family members have been a huge support in the process. They helped me to continue my education after I had my son. My husband and family members have uplifted me through the stress. I am thrilled to be rapidly approaching the end of my undergraduate education at Biola University.
During my education at Biola University I have realized how my empathetic heart for others correlates with my study of Nursing as well as Sociology and Biblical Studies. Sociology and Biblical Studies has opened my eyes to my heart’s desire to witness social justice for the impoverished and forgotten people in our society.
