My Passion

Knowing God is the defining aspect of everyone’s identity, I went through many years without knowing God. I accepted Jesus early in my life but I didn’t learn who He was and I didn’t know how important it was to learn about Him. When I began to recognize my need for Jesus it occurred when I learned I was becoming a mother. When I realized that I was going to have to pass on knowledge I knew that there was something greater than what I knew at that point in my life.

When I began to learn about God and entered into an intimate relationship with Him, it was then that I believe I fully became alive when I began to learn about God. I began to learn about Him, His purpose for my life and I learned about who I am. He has changed my life and opened doors that I never knew could be opened in my life. Through studying the Bible, attending and serving in the church, building relationships with others that also believe in Jesus– taught me a different way to live, all of these acts adjusted my understanding, changed the way I live and helped me to grow.

I believe that God is able to do this transformation in anybody’s life that places their faith and seeks to learn who He is! I desire to engage with people and discuss the transforming work that God has done in my life. I believe that the testimony we have about our own lives opens other’s eyes to see that God is invested in someone’s life therefore He is invested in other’s lives. I desire to see God change lives, because I believe we are not fully living until we learn to love God and receive HIS love for us! God’s love us so much! He loves us to the point that He sent His SON to the world to die for our sins, His Son died but was resurrected and now lives again, and will return to this world. Until Jesus returns He is currently working in our lives now.

There have been a number of difficult situations that I’ve lived through since beginning to learn and live for God, but I know the difficulty that I have walked through has transformed my life and has built my faith in God.

Believing in Jesus empowers us to overcome the most difficult situations in our lives. Whatever anger a person has in their heart they can learn forgiveness. Whatever anxiety a person has they can overcome and experience beautiful peace. Whatever lust someone is filled with can experience strength to fight past and resist this yearning. The sadness and sorrow someone has is replaced by joy and hope through faith. The pride and arrogance that a person is blinded by will have their eyes opened and they will be able to see with clear humble view. Whatever addiction or oppression a person is trapped in can receive freedom and deliverance. These blessings come entirely through faith in Christ Jesus. Bringing these truths to people and helping others to experience these truths will be the greatest blessing throughout my life.

Currently our world encounters daily suffering. The communities we live in are tainted with difficulty and suffering. The places we work are filled with people that struggle, whether it’s evident or not. Working in health care has opened my eyes to the ways that people suffer, specifically physically. I become overcome with empathy, my heart aches for others. And I’ve learned about the ways that suffering, trials, and difficulty build our character. The book of Romans explains that the difficulty we encounter builds our resilience and perseverance, which build our character and our hope. Therefore, even when I feel this heartache I’m led to pray for these people, that God would increase their awareness of His presence in their difficulty and His work within their life. That they would be filled with HOPE because Hope will not fail them! We have to be instruments of hope, sharing the Gospel brings hope, sharing the truth that we are not alone in the difficulty and God cares deeply for the sorrow that we experience. It is my role as a believer to share the hope that God has blessed the world with through His Son Jesus.

I believe that the Lord has called me to learn about suffering and understand suffering in order to work with others that are

How do you act as an instrument of hope?
